Health Care

I think health care should be a right and not a privilege. This is because people need to be secured when doing a job or something else where they might get injured. Health care should also be a right because not a lot of people can afford it and many people in the U.S are immigrants. They should make health care a right in the U.S for people that are already in the U.S. Many people in the U.S get scared because something bad can happen to them and they don't have health insurance to cover them if something bad happens to them. I think health care should be aright because people should not be push away just because they don't have money to afford it. They should have a right to accept people to have health care and to have a backup in case of something bad happens to them. Companies should agree with me because they don't want their workers getting injured which will cut down their supplies made. They need workers working in a safe environment and with a backup to support them. I know that health care benefits only those with legal status but many people come from other countries to have a good job and life for their families but they should back them up since they are doing some of the worlds hardest jobs that other people don't want to do. Overall I restate my main opinion, Health care should be a right for all people currently on the U.S and it should back them up even if they can't afford them or don't have legal status.

Problem Solver

There has been many moments in my high school years that I have demonstrated that I was a problem solver. The first example was when I needed to study for a test in Mrs. Dozier and I needed help. At first I didn't know what to do but I thought how I could solve this problem so I did. I found the shortest way to solve the problems which was to use some of my notes that we could use in the test. By doing this I found that I could solve some problems by the useful notes that I have used. We have always gotten a small note card that we could put as much as the notes that fit in that note card. I was smart enough to put only the useful notes that I needed and that were going to be useful to solve me some problems.
The second example was not being able to use Photoshop to finish a work that I needed to finish. At first I did not know how to use Photoshop but I stayed on task and took notes on everything I needed to use. At the end I was able to solve the problem of not knowing how to use the computer and actually finishing my work on time and with the help of my hard work and time spent on class. Everyone can be a problem solver if they know what they want. I was able to solve the problems that I had in school and doing things that were going to help me solve these problems.

Civic Responsibility

I think that my duties as an emerging adult are attending college and have a good career that supports me and my family for the future. I want to be able to pay all my bills and pay the rent of where I live. Some duties include having a good education and be able to use all my ESLR'S that I learned in high school and all my other moments in life and my future. I know that in the future it would not be like when I was in high school, getting money from my parents and buying chips and drinks in school. In the future I will have to work for my future and depend on myself and everything that I have learned to help me out. I owe the world a better me for the future I know I can contribute to the economy by paying taxes and working on my career. I have to use the knowledge I learned and apply them to my work or my life. I want to contribute to the community by not giving up and offering the community my talent and effort so that I can help in something. I know that the world needs more people to help them out by doing works and other important tasks. I will also contribute to the community by raising a family and teach my children the importance of life and the use of education on your life and the career you want. There is nothing in the world than a good education and the career that you have always dreamed of.

Essential Question

My essential question is, Does having immigrant parents affect you as a teen? I picked this question because I have notice that many teens feel embarrassed about their parents being immigrants and I wanted to know if it does affect them. I also picked this because I have immigrant parents that came to the U.S a long time ago and raised me here in San Diego. I know that question will bring a lot of contradictions so that is why I am using it for my senior exhibition. I want to know what other people’s point of view is. I plan to answer this question using my sources that I have found. There are many articles that have given me information about this question and they have come very useful. I also hope to answer this question by getting enough information and at the end finding out the true answer. This question has been very interesting to study about; I have received good information about Ms. Lonnecker saying that this question will be very interesting to research about. I also chose this question because I thought that it was very interesting to find out by using other peoples information including mine and my brothers. Since we have immigrant parents we don't really see that it affects us to have immigrant parent. On the other hand we are thankful for raising us. This question can bring good and bad arguments about this question. I think that it doesn't affect you but I am not the only answering this question around the world, so I want to research more about this question.

Effective Communicator

Throughout my high school ears I have also been an effective communicator that makes it more effective for future situations. The first example that I have consider myself as an effective communicator was when we had a summit on my SciTech class and we had to present about a country that we thought that used green energy and how could they make the country more effective using green energy. This makes me more as an effective communicator because we had to present in front of many teachers of SciTech and a class Mr. Gallo we also had the opportunity to bring our parents to keep us more motivated. This summit was a real challenge for me but me and my other partner won 100 dollars based on this summit. We showed that we are good effective communicators.
Another example that I consider myself as an effective communicator was when we had to get interviewed for Ms.Dozier for the Biotech class. In her class we have different jobs that we had to do in order for other schools to receive lab supplies for their further labs and procedures. This makes me an effective communicator because we had to show that we can deserve the job and that we can get interview by someone else and that might make us feel for nervous. I was able to talk right and keep myself from stuttering so that I could get the job. At the end I did received the job and I was happy because my effective communicator skills makes me a stronger me for future situations and other jobs that include an interview.

Technology Producer

During my high school years I have been a Technology Producer. I have shown that I am very good at using computer and other internet sources. The first example was using the internet to find pictures on my graphic design class. In this class I had to use the power of internet and Photoshop. I used the computer by saving pictures, copying and pasting and making different advertisements that were class assignments by Ms. Mike. I have been a technology producer in this class because I know how to use the computer and know different shortcuts that make it easier for me to finish a job. In every job that people get there will always need to be good at computers and be able to use technology to finish any job.
In my second example I was a technology producer when I worked on lab reports for Ms. Dozier and her class. I had to work on several lab reports that were a part of my grade and based on labs that we had done in class. I used Gmail to make documents and make my lab report. This considers me as a technology producer because I was able to finish my lab reports with the help of my knowledge using the computer and Gmail. In all my high school years I have been a technology producer based on all the assignments that I have done in each class. I can't explain them all but I have an H drive that keep history of all my technology producer assignments and I have proof for further references.

collaborative worker

I can describe two moments that I have demonstrated that I have been a collaborate worker. The first moment was when we finished a project in Mr. Jackson's SciTech class to finish a solar powered car. I was in a group of 3 and we had to work on a build-yourself car. We opened and we started to give each one tasks to finish this car. We each worked on a part of the car and at the end we put our parts together to build one only car. At the end we had a solar powered car that only worked on the sun, so we went outside and we all watched how the sun powered our teamwork project together.

Another moment that I thought that showed that I was a good collaborate worker was when me and my other fellow classmate had to work on a current issue that people find very interesting in the world today. Me and my friend did an issue about safer sex and we did a PowerPoint together. We divided the work on to two parts he had to do the typing in the slide show and I had to find the pictures. At the end we put everything together and we had a strong and well organized slide show. I can say that between this two examples I can see myself as a collaborate worker. To me a collaborating worker means doing a task with someone else and finishing it like a team.

Responsible learner examples

I've been a responsible person throughout my years in San Diego High School. One example for this is being able to finish my project for my Sci Tech class. Me and my fellow teammates worked on a windmill and we worked on it for about 3-4 weeks. I consider myself as a responsible learner because I actually got to find information about the windmill and everything that it needed so that it could operate properly. I have been responsible by keeping in touch with my team mates so that they could finish their part in the windmill. For me, I stayed after school to see if we had done some king of mistake that could have caused us a bad grade.
Another example is being able to keep a good grade in my Biology class last semester. I had an F and because I'm a senior I'm not suppose to have any failing grades otherwise I wouldn't be able to graduate on time. So I started to work real hard, I worked on my lab reports, and stayed after school for extra credit. This efforts brought my grade up to at least a B. I couldn't have been more proud of myself being able to accomplish my goals and being able to maintain a good grade. As of today I havent had an F since I was a freshman at San Diego High School. I have been a responsible person by doing all my work and staying on task. I think that all these examples have made me a responsible person and hope to keep soing it in the future.
